My Aid

Registered NDIS provider  ยท  Melbourne

Support work and therapy, delivered by people who turn up.

My Aid delivers hands-on NDIS supports across Melbourne, from personal care and community access through to occupational therapy and positive behaviour support. Take one service or several.

Anyone can refer, including participants, families, support coordinators, LACs, plan managers and GPs. We respond to every referral within two business days, and we will tell you honestly if we are not the right fit.

What we do

Five services. Take one, or take several.

Most of the people we work with use us for a single service and keep their other providers exactly as they are. Where you do choose more than one, those practitioners work to the same goals.

In your home and community

Support Work

Everyday help that fits around your life: personal care, getting out into the community, keeping the household running, building skills and getting where you need to go.

Allied health

Occupational Therapy

Practical, goal-led therapy for the things you actually want to do: daily living skills, functional assessments, equipment and assistive technology recommendations, and reports for your plan.

Allied health

Behaviour Support

Positive behaviour support built on understanding why behaviour happens. Functional assessments, interim and comprehensive plans, and hands-on training for the people around you.

Navigating your plan

Support Coordination

Someone in your corner who knows how the NDIS works. We help you understand your plan, find the right providers, sort out the admin and get ready for your next plan review.

Assessment and design

Home Modifications

Changes to your home so it works the way you do, from grab rails and ramps through to bathroom modifications, assessed and specified by an occupational therapist.

Not sure which of these you need? That is a normal place to start. Tell us what is hard at the moment and we will talk you through the options, including the ones we do not provide.

Why families choose us

Therapy that reaches the ground

A therapy plan is only worth anything if the people around you every day know how to use it. That is where we put our effort.

Our behaviour support practitioners train the people who will actually use the plan, whether those support workers are ours or another provider's. Our occupational therapists do the same with equipment and daily-living recommendations. We would rather spend an hour showing someone than send another report.

You never have to move your other supports to us for this to work, and we will not ask you to.

  • You tell us onceInformation you give us is shared only with the people delivering your supports, and only with your consent.
  • Training, not just reportsOur practitioners train whoever supports you day to day, including workers from other providers.
  • Genuine choice, in writingIf we ever coordinate your plan and deliver your supports, we tell you in writing and offer alternatives. Your choice, documented.
  • Every plan type welcomeSelf-managed, plan-managed or NDIA-managed. We work with all three, and we invoice your plan manager directly.
  • You keep the wheelYou choose who supports you, when they come, and what you work on. If it is not working, say so and we will change it.

Getting started

Four steps, no jargon

Get in touch

Call, email or send a referral. Anyone can start this: you, a family member, a support coordinator, an LAC, a plan manager or your GP.

We have a yarn

A free, no-obligation conversation about what is going on, what you want to change, and whether we are the right fit. If we are not, we will say so.

Agree the plan

We put together a service agreement in plain English, setting out what we will do, when, what it costs against your plan, and how to change or stop it.

Get going

You meet your team and we get started. We check in regularly, and you can adjust things at any time without justifying yourself.

Your choice and control, in writing

My Aid offers both support coordination and direct supports. If you are considering using us for both, we will give you a written explanation of that relationship, offer you genuine alternatives, and record the choice you make. You can use one service and not the other, and you can change your mind at any time without affecting the supports you keep. Read how we manage conflicts of interest.

Common questions

The things people ask us first

No. You are welcome to ring and talk things through before anything is formalised. If you have an NDIS plan we can talk about what is funded in it; if you do not, we can point you towards where to start. There is no cost to have that conversation.

All of them: self-managed, plan-managed and NDIA-managed. We are a registered NDIS provider, which means we can support participants whose plans are managed by the NDIA as well as those who are self-managed or plan-managed. We invoice your plan manager directly if that is easier.

Not at all. Many people use us for one thing only. Bringing services together is an option we offer because it works well for some people, not a condition of working with us. You are free to keep your existing providers for everything else.

We support participants across metropolitan Melbourne and the surrounding growth corridors. Our NDIS registration covers the whole of Australia, so if you are outside Melbourne it is still worth asking. Travel and availability will shape what we can commit to, and we will be straight with you about it.

We respond to every referral within two business days. How soon supports actually begin depends on the service and current availability. Support work usually starts sooner than therapy, which can involve a waitlist. We will give you a realistic timeframe up front rather than an optimistic one.

Tell us, and we will take it seriously. You will not be treated as a nuisance for raising it. Our feedback and complaints page explains how to do that and what happens next. You can also go straight to the NDIS Quality and Safeguards Commission on 1800 035 544 at any time, and you do not need our permission or involvement to do so.
